Monkeys (sci-fi, action) - very dim lighting, with high contrast between light and dark, as well
as the time machine lit completely in blue, which helps to connote the sci-fi
genre.
Star
Trek (sci-fi) -
once again, prominent blue tones, especially within the spaceship itself.
However, it has lots of high key lighting, which isn’t a common feature of
gritty action films.
